25 ways to productively procrastinate

I'm sure I'm not the only one here who is an expert at procrastinating. Unfortunately, sometimes it can be hard to avoid so I have started 'productively procrastinating.' This way, at least some things are getting done. It also can help you to feel refreshed for when you're ready to get back into your to do list.

  • Clean out your wardrobe
  • Redecorate your room
  • Update your diary/ planner/ journal
  • Respond to emails
  • Meditate
  • Do a yoga session (there are some great ones on YouTube)
  • Get outside, go for a walk, run, swim, bike ride or anything that gets your heart rate up
  • Read a few chapters of a book
  • Have a bubble bath
  • Cook a meal to have later that day/ week
  • Buy some herbs/ veggie plants and create a small veggie garden
  • Create a vision board for your bedroom
  • Clean out your make-up bag
  • Colour in (you can either buy a colouring in book or download a free image off the internet)
  • Catch up with an old friend
  • Have a power nap
  • Spend time with a sibling 
  • Create a music playlist (for study, exercise etc.)
  • Read through your favourite blogs 
  • Make a list of things to get done that day/ week/ month 
  • Watch a hair tutorial and try out some new hairstyles 
  • Watch a TED talk
  • Make your bed
  • Come up with a list of blog post ideas 
  • Make birthday cards for any upcoming birthdays
